Mrs. Jordan, 90, Dies in Hospital

Bessie Allen Jordan, 90, of Dry Prong, died at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday in an Alexandria hospital.

She is survived by two sons, Buford Jordan of Dry Prong and J. P. Jordan of Alexandria; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Sowers of Dry Prong and Mrs. Sidney Blume of Lake Charles; a brother, Clayton Allen of New Orleans, 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be held at 4 p.m. today in John Kramer and Son Funeral Home. Burial was to have been in Frazier cemetery at Propect.

ALEXANDRIA -- Funeral services were held Thursday in John Cramer Chapel for Bessie Allen Jordan. Burial was in Frazier Cemetery in Prospect.

Mrs. Jordan, 90, of Dry Prong died Wednesday.

Survivors are two sons, Buford Jordan of Dry Prong and J. P. Jordan of Alexandria; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Dowers [sic Sowers] of Dry Prong and Mrs. Sidney Blume of Lake Charles; a brother, Clayton Allen of New Orleans; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
