Bessie B. Walters

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie B. Walters, 82, of Winnsboro, were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Interment was in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro with the Rev. Max Lee and the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating.

A native of Winn Parish, she was born Oct. 28, 1901. She was a retired school teacher, a member of First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, member of Mizpah Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Winnsboro Garden Club and the Retired Teachers Assn. She died on Feb. 18, 1984, following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Alyce Parsons, Houston, Texas; one brother, Otto Busby, Winnsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Walters, Winnsboro and Mrs. Estelle Ezell, Vicksburg, Miss.

Pallbearers were Elmo Blackmon, Martin Harris, Bob Nelson, Billy Sharp, Owen White and Bill Russell.
