Pioneer Dallas County Woman, Resident of Rockwall, Succumbs

ROCKWALL, Texas, Dec. 30. -- Mrs. S. H. Dunn, 86, died at the family residence in Rockwall Tuesday. A native of East Tennessee, she pioneered to Texas in 1870, settling in Dallas County. She was preceded to Texas by her husband, who worked on a farm for $15 a month until he had saved enough to buy a ticket on the train for her and her two children to join him.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Emma Hill, and a son, the Rev. S. J. Sellers, both of Rockwall; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

NOTES: Bessie moved to Texas with her first husband, William N. SELLERS (b. 30 DEC 1849 - d. 13 APR 1925), some time after 1880. They are buried in Centennial Memorial Park, Rockwall Co., TX.
