Mrs. Bessie Harper
HODGE (Special) -- Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie McCarty Harper, 61, of Hodge, were at 3 p.m. today at Jonesboro Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Bill Treadway and Jimmie Miller officiating.
Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery near Jonesboro under direction of Edmond's Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mrs. Harper died unexpectedly about 11 a.m. Tuesday while en route to a Hodge clinic.
Survivors are her husband, Sanford E. Harper, Hodge; two brothers, Wesley McCarty, West Monroe and Horace McCarty, Jonesboro; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Stroud, Sikes, Mrs. Ina Hearne, Chatham, and Mrs. Tiny Gray, Hodge; one step-son, Earl Harper, Hodge; four step-daughters, Mrs. Lorene Pace and Mrs. Ernestine Gibson, both of Hodge, Mrs. Joyce Thompson, Quitman, and Mrs. Lenora Smith, New Orleans.
