HOMER, LA - Services for Mrs. Bessie Mae Emmons Dickerson, 99, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 1998 at Maple Avenue Baptist Church of Smackover. Officiating will be Rev. Ed T. Glover. Burial will follow at Smackover Cemetery. Services under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors of El Dorado.
Mrs. Dickerson died Saturday, January 17, 1998 in Homer, LA. She was born October 20, 1898 in Rosebud, TX, the daughter of Isaac Edward and Eva Hinds Emmons. She was a homemaker and a Charter member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church. She was also a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church in Lisbon, LA. She was a former resident of Smackover.
She was preceded in death by one son, Lonnie V. Dickerson.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Faye Dickerson of Lisbon, LA; sister, Jewel Cooper of Bossier City, LA; daughter-in-law, Mildred Dickerson of Hallsville, TX; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Maple Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, 1306 Maple, Smackover, AR 71762.
