Mrs. Underwood Dies In Durham

Mrs. H. H. (Winifred) Underwood, 80, formerly of Wilson's Mills, died Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gordon Bizzell, in Durham. She had been living with Mrs. Bizzell for the past three years.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at Johnson Union Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bizzell and Mrs. Rufus Hayman of Alabama; eight sons, V. J., L. D., and M. D., all of Smithfield, James T. of Norwood, P. H., of Goldsboro, A. V. of Havelock, H. D., of Clayton, and E. G. Underwood of Raleigh; a brother, Jesse Grant of Four Oaks; and two sisters, Mrs. John Rhodes and Mrs. P. D. Thompson, both of Route 4, Four Oaks.
