MECOM, BETTY P. STAFFORD

Died 10:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 1995, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home. She was 90, a native of Corbin and a resident of Walker. Memorial services at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Boyd Hood.

Survived by two daughters, Joyce Weeks McKinney, Walker, and Joan Evelyn Duncan, Carmichael, Calif.; two sisters, Juanita Jackson, Walker, and Clara Stewart, Lake Charles; five brothers, Dewey Womack Stafford, West Columbia, Texas, Fuqua Stafford, Baton Rouge, and Parker, Robert Rudolph and Kenyon P. Stafford, all of Walker; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, William Hardy Mecom; and parents, John Wiley and Birdie Womack Stafford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
