February 25, 1942 - May 2, 2015

Shreveport, LA -- A memorial service for Betty Sue Moses Emmons, 73, will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Officiating will be Brother Chad Hardbarger. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the church.

Betty was born on February 25, 1942 to Jesse Aubrey and Virginia Ann Dans Moses in Converse, Louisiana. She went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She worked 35 years for Southern Plastics. She was a loving and caring, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margie Berry, and brothers, Marvin, Ray, and Roy Moses.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Earnest (Sonny) D. Emmons, son, Darryl Emmons, daughter, Shannon Lee and husband Michael, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, and brother, O.L. “Mickey” Moses and wife Julie.

Betty enjoyed many years and happy memories with Sonny at the Toledo Bend lakehouse.

She enjoyed the time she spent with son, Darryl as they worked together in the yard and on the flower beds she enjoyed so much. She treasured those times.

Betty was quick to love and laugh and she enjoyed talking and visiting with family and friends.

Betty was known for her love of books. Reading was one of her favorite past times.

Some of Betty's most treasured and heart kept memories were of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would be thrilled with their times together.
