VIVIAN, LA -- Services for Betty Williams, 64, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 1998 at McGuire Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating wil be Rev. Glen Graham, pastor Caddo Prairie Baptist Church, and Rev. Otha Greer. Burial will be in Stevens Cemetery Rodessa, LA. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, September 14, 1998 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams, a former secretary with Fitzgerald Production with 14 years service and former longtime employee of DeBeaux Ford, died Saturday, September 13, 1998 in North Caddo Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Shreveport, LA and had resided in Vivian, LA for 35 years. Mrs. Williams loved to fish, and was a very special unselfish person always putting others first especially her much loved family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ottis and Grace Griffin.
Survivors are her husband, Oscar O. Williams of Vivian, LA; daughters, Deborah Alego, and husband William of Humble, TX, Pat Parker, and husband Jim of Vivian, LA, Rhonda Bridges, and husband Joe of Texarkana, TX, Holly Murphy, and husband Howard of Doddridge, AR; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Hansel “Slick” Dickey, Hardy Hale, Bill Williams, Keyes Thomas, Roy “Hoppy” Hopkins, and Virgil Trenado.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Fitzgerald, Doug Gaines, Millard Law.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Baptist Childrens Home.
