SHREVEPORT
Services will be held for Mrs. Beulah Martin Smith, 82, of Shreveport, at 12 noon Thursday June 17 at Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ray Bearden, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church of Shreveport, where Mrs. Smith was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Centuries Memorial Park.
Visitation: 4 p.m. Wed. until service time Thursday at Wellman's.
She died Tuesday June 15, 1982 at Schumpert Medical Center after a short illness. Mrs. Smith, born in Avoyelles Parish, La. and a resident of Shreveport since 1928, was a retired seamstress at The Fashion, Inc. Women' Clothes. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Birdie L. Smith of Shreveport, Mrs. Kathleen S. Lanigan of Baton Rouge, La. and Mira A. Smith of Nashville, Tenn.; one grandson, Bill Lanigan, II and one great-grandson, Bill Lanigan, IV, both of Shreveport; one brother, Alton Martin of Pineville, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Cummings of Houston, Tex. and Mrs. Laynia Cason of Arabi, La.; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tom Elgin, Wayne Villemarette, E.G. Juneau, Larry Bamburg, Adrian Snider and J.N. Clayton.
