Funeral services held this morning, 11 AM, McGowan's Chapel Methodist Church, for Mrs. Beverly McCARTY, 89, Revs. W. D. Pigott, Elliott Jones of Laurel, Homer Peden of Hattiesburg officiating; interment in church cemetery; member of pioneer family in Clarke Co. and lifelong resident of Harmony Community; member of McGowan's Chapel Methodist Church for 75 years; widow of William A. McCARTY; survivors - three sons, W. A. and C. E. McCARTY, both of Wichita Falls, TX; I. H. McCARTY, Oklahoma City, OK; five daughters, Mrs. B. S. WADDELL, Crystal Springs; Mrs. Mary WALKER and Mrs. Ruth KEAN, both of Hattiesburg; Miss Sarah McCARTY, New Orleans, LA; Miss Louise McCARTY, Quitman; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; body will be at Walters Funeral Home until time for funeral.
