Beverly Green Rider

ARLINGTON -- Beverly Green Rider, 66, a retired registered nurse, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2004, in Arlington.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Arlington. Burial: White's Chapel Cemetery, Southlake. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Arlington Funeral Home.

Memorials: St. Stephen United Methodist Church, Arlington.

Beverly was born Oct. 8, 1937, in Nacogdoches. Her parents were Phines and Kathleen Green. She graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1955. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University and Buchanan School of Nursing with an associate's degree in science and nursing in 1965. She married Dale W. Rider in 1959.

Beverly served as a registered nurse in the medical community for 25 years. She gave witness to her Christian faith in the United Methodist Church as wife and co-worker with her husband, the Rev. Dale Rider; in her community with her compassion and service; and in her home as a tireless mother, wife and homemaker.

A son, Dave V. Rider, preceded her in death.

Survivors: Husband, Dale; sons, Dan, Donn and wife, Kristy, and Dusty and wife, Kellie; grandchildren, Alicia, Savanah, Samantha, Harley, Niki, Kristian, Braden and Courtney; and a great host of friends and loved ones.
