Beverly Polk
Funeral services for Beverly Polk, 88, of Winnsboro will be 10 am Tuesday, November 13, 2018, in Lone Cedar Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Magnuson and Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm Monday, November 12, 2018, at the church.
Beverly was born March 22, 1930, in Franklin Parish to the union of Wiley Robert McCarty and Mary Idell Simons McCarty and passed from this life on November 11, 2018, at her residence in Winnsboro.
Beverly was a member of Lone Cedar Baptist Church. She and her husband Dewey Polk they were instrumental in starting the Deep South Rodeo.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands: James D. Polk and Tommy Wilson; daughter, Tammy Ingram; grandsons: Devin Ingram, Rayne Ingram, and James Robert Polk; great grandson, James Michael Punchard; two sisters, Bessie Martin and Lessie Moore.
Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Ingram and husband Kenneth; two sons James D. Polk, and Lonnie Ray Polk and wife Mary Pat all of Winnsboro; eight grandchildren: Tonya Taylor and husband Elvis of Sterlington, Bradley Ingram of Winnsboro, Teslyn Ingram of Winnsboro, Keisha Polk of Winnsboro, Jeremy Polk of Columbus, OH, Joe Polk and wife Ashley of Winnsboro, Raelin Beckley and husband Alex of Stowe, OH and Tamrin Ingram of Tucson, AZ; fourteen great grandchildren: Lathan Taylor, Rilan Kayne Taylor, Michael Taylor, Keithen Ingram, Braxley Ingram, Colton Jordan, Garrett Robinson, Gracelyn Ingram, Gunner Gillespie, Aaron Punchard, Devin Polk, Heath Polk, Logan Ezell and Cody Lively; two great-great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Ingram, Joe Polk, Lathan Taylor, Rilyn Taylor, Aaron Punchard and Alex Beckley.
