SIMPSON, BEVERLY NEAL , age 42, of West Monroe, LA died Thursday, April 14, 1994. Funeral services will be Friday, April 15, 3:30 P.M., Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of West Monroe. Dr. Dennis Swanberg and Rev. Bruce Venable officiating. Burial will be in Twin Cities Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Visitation: Friday from 9:00 A.M. until Noon at the funeral home. Beverly was an active member of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe. Her love for music was evident as a member of the Sanctuary Choir, Partners In Praise Ensemble and as a director of the 4 year old pre-school choir. She also held many positions of leadership in her Sunday School class. Mrs. Simpson was employed from 1973-1983 by South Central Bell Assignment Office as a supervisor. She then accepted a job transfer to Birmingham, Alabama in 1983 with AT&T Communications until 1986, transferring to Atlanta, GA. before returning to West Monroe with her family in 1987. She was most recently employed by the Hogan Agency, but she was also employed locally by E. A. Conway Memorial Hospital and Sunbelt Plastics.

Beverly was preceded in death in 1990 by her father, Huey Neal.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Simpson of West Monroe; daughter, Leigh Ann Simpson of West Monroe; mother, Rosalie Neal of Monroe; paternal grandmother, Rosie Neal of Pineville, La.; sisters & brothers-in-law, Janet and John Antley of Monroe, Linda and Mike Duke of Evergeeen, CO.; nieces, Amy Duke and Tara Danielle Antley of Monroe; mother and father-in-law, Jane and Johnnie Simpson of West Monroe; sister-in-law, Jamie Simpson of New Iberia, La.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends.

Pallbearers: Rodney Dickerson, Dr. Allen Poe, Gordon Cooke, Daryel Hendrix, Stan Armor and Allan Barritt.
