BILL SAMPSON

Reportedly buried at Los Angeles February 10, the body of Bill Sampson, former Sandersville man, arrived here Saturday night, instead.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from Sandersville Baptist church with the Rev. Donald Tisdale officiating.

Interment followed in Sandersville cemetery with the Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was 47.

Death came at Los Angeles February 9, and a Saturday report from the Thompson Funeral Home said he was buried there February 10. Then, Saturday night, the funeral home was notified that the body had arrived here.

Formerly employed at Sandersvllle Ice Co., he moved to Los Angeles a month ago because of ill health. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Ruby McDaniel Sampson of Sandersville, and the son-in-law of Mrs. Eva McDaniel, of that city.

Serving as pallbearers were Harold McDaniel, Woodie McDaniel, James McDaniel, Alton McDaniel, Randolph Aaron and Sam Davis.

He leaves one son, Edward Sampson, Sandersvllle; his mother, Mrs. Thelma Goodwin, Forest, Miss., and a brother, Sonny Sampson, Indiana.
