Billy Bob Walker, Sr.
Funeral services for Billy Bob Walker, Sr., 85, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2007, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Jimmy Jones officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
He passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007, at his residence.
Billy was born December 18, 1921, in Rayville, Louisiana, the son of Samuell Leggitt Walker and Sarah Caroline Farthree Walker. He was raised in Rayville where he attended public school. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. On July 13, 1946, he was married to Nell Maxine Magee in Monroe, Louisiana. He lived in Dallas prior to moving to Richardson in 1957. Billy was a foreman at Iron Worker's Union #481 in Dallas, retiring in 1982. He moved to Wills Point in 1983. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. Billy was a member of Turner Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon for many years.
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters and an infant son.
Billy is survived by his wife, Maxine Walker, of Wills Point; son, Billy Walker, Jr., of Wills Point; daughter, Dale Hutchens, of Wills Point; two grandchildren, Matthew Humphrey & wife, Carinda and Samuel A. Walker and one great-grandchild, Jayden Humphrey.
