Oil Rig Accident Kills LaSalle Man

TROUT, La. -- Billy Herman Ford, 29, died at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday in an off-shore oil rig accident at Breton Sound in Plaquemines parish. He was a resident of Rt. 1. Trout.

Ford is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hilda Ford; two sons, Jackie Herman Ford of Jonesville and James Ford of Trout; one daughter, Tressa Ann Ford of Trout; four brothers, Keith G., Doyal R., J. W. and Elmo Ford and one sister, Mrs. A. L. Posey, all of Aimwell, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William B. Ford of Aimwell.

Ford's body will be at Hixson Bros. Funeral Home in Jena until shortly before time for services at Aimwell Pentecostal church at 10 a.m. Thursday with Reverends A. B. Connor and E. D. Mayo officiating. Burial will be in the Aimwell cemetery.
