Rev. Billy James Reisor
Rev. Billy James Reisor, 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Aug. 27, 2008. Graveside services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday at Webb Hill Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Royce Litchfield and Rev. James Seigler will officiate.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Rev. Reisor was born at White Rock on Feb. 20, 1928, son of Bertran E. and Nettie Woodard Reisor. On June 6, 1947, he married Nita Lowry in Greenville. He served in the United States Army. Rev. Reisor pastored Kingston Baptist Church of Kingston, the First Baptist Church of Celeste, First Baptist Church of Malakoff, First Baptist Church of Huntington, First Baptist Church of Whitehouse and North Baptist Church in Greenville. He was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
His survivors include his wife of Greenville; two sons, Gary James Reisor and wife Nancy of Crowley and Gregory Bill Reisor and wife Patti of Wheaton, Ill.; daughter Erika Lynne Nguyen and husband Thanh of Round Lake Beach, Ill.; sisters Loveta Adams of Wolfe City and Jo Weldon and Geraldine Reisor of Greenville; a brother, Elvis Reisor of Van; nine grandchildren, Christopher Reisor, Amanda Reisor, Katie Reisor, Hannah Reisor, Jonathan Nguyen, Joanna Nguyen, Joshua Nguyen, Jackie Nguyen and Jennifer Nguyen; one great-grandchild, Caden James Reisor; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bert, Clarence, Johnnie and Bertis; and a sister, Ivy Prince.
