Billy Lawless Victim of Heart Attack Monday

Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion Church, near DeBerry at 4 p.m. Tuesday for Billy Lawless, 27, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lawless of DeBerry. The Rev. Tate was the officiating minister and burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Lawless, who lived at 4819 Jewells St., Shreveport, died Monday after being stricken with a heart attack at 4:15 p.m. while at work. He was dead on arrival at a Shreveport hospital. He had been a bridegroom for only a week.

He had been discharged from a hospital eight days previous to his death for a heart condition. He and his bride had returned a day or two previously from Texarkana where they were married.

Mr. Lawless was stricken while working as a rodman for W. E. Glassell Co., which was installing a city water line in Shreveport.

Surviving are his wife, two brothers, Gerald of Fort Worth and David of DeBerry, and a sister, Mrs. [sic Miss] Earlene Lawless of Shreveport.
