Bill M. Kreidel

Bill M. Kreidel, 74, of Midland, passed away on June 9, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 12, 2006 at Wilshire Park Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Tims officiating, and Brother Jim Bradshaw assisting. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at the funeral home, 3800 N. Big Spring Street, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

He was born on July 8, 1931 in Pecos, Texas to C.L. & Alma Kreidel. Bill married Melba Noel on August 3, 1957 in Sweetwater, Texas.

He grew up in Sweetwater and lived around Sweetwater most of his life. He and Melba moved to Midland in May of 1962, where he continued working in construction for J.W. Cooper Construction for 10 years, and Area Builders for 13 years, then for Dave Leonard Construction, and for Campbell Construction until his retirement. Bill loved to fish and woodwork. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of Wilshire Park Baptist Church.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, C.L. and Alma Kreidel, a brother, Carl Kreidel, and two sisters, Dorothy Gabler and JoNell Tidwell.

Bill is survived by his wife Melba of Midland; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike & Carol Kreidel of Midland; two daughters and sons-in-law Sharon and Jim Stuteville, Karen and Ron Smedley all of Midland; six grandchildren, Wayne Kreidel of Midland, Bradley and Amanda Stuteville of Wichita, KS, Dalton Stuteville of Odessa, Kaci Stuteville of Midland, Jon and Lindsey Smedley of Brownwood, and Josh Smedley of Midland; one great grandson, Grayson Stuteville of Wichita, KS; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

The pallbearers are Brad Stuteville, Jon Smedley, Dalton Stuteville, Josh Smedley, Steve Graham, Roger Graham, Jimmy Noel, Jay Noel. The honorary pallbearer is Wayne Kreidel.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Midland, P.O. Box 2621, Midland, TX 79701.
