Billy R. Dark

NATCHITOCHES -- Services for Billy R. Dark will be at 2:30 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ryan Horton Jr., Conrad Edwards and Abe Conerly officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis.

Dark, 60, of Natchitoches died at 7:03 p.m. Wednesday in his residence.

He was a native of Columbia and graduated from Louisiana State University in 1955. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a wood procurement manager at Willamette Industries, Red River Mill, Campti. He was a member of the Lousisiana [sic Louisiana] Forest Association and was on the board of directors. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ann S. Dark of Natchitoches; one daughter, Melody Bailes of Natchitoches; two brothers, Jerry W. Dark and Lanny R. Dark, both of Columbia; his mother, Maude S. Dark of Columbia; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Grimmett, Hunter Mullikin, Dale Carson, Steven Dark, Richard B. Dark, Robert Williams, David Desadier and Spencer McFarland.

Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 1:30 p.m. until time of services today in the church.
