Bingham C. Walker

Services for Bingham C. Walker, 72, of Rt. 3, Newton, were held Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Revs. John West, pastor and T.L. Everett officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, Webb Funeral Home of Newton in charge.

Walker died Sept. 13 at Riley's Hospital, Meridian. He was a native of Newton County, a retired farmer and a member of the Mt. Vernon Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Allie Walker, Newton; one daughter, Mrs. Ouida Molony, Meridian; three sons, James Edward Walker of Rose Hill, Alton Walker of Waynesboro, Ga., and Dan William Walker of Jackson; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mellie Harris of Arkansas and Mrs. Lonnie Cockrell of Bay Springs; three brothers, Marvin Walker of Abbeville, S.C., Ferrel Walker of Laurel and Emmett Walker of Newton; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers included Lamar Williams, Ray Williams, Johnny Collins, Milton Reynolds, Billy Little and Jerry Williams.
