Bobbie F. Carter
Bobbie Freeman Carter, 80, of Baton Rouge and formerly of Pike County, passed away on Feb. 2, 2015, at her residence.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb
and continues there Friday from noon until services at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Dale Rictor officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery.
Bobbie was born on Oct. 15, 1934, in Pike County, the daughter of Wren and Estella Norton Freeman.
She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Edward Carter, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Tarver; two daughters, Sandra Joiner and Sharon Joiner and husband Ronald Joiner Jr.; two brothers, Mike Freeman and wife, Joy, and Donald Freeman and wife Geraldine; three sisters, Inez Brown, Geneva Muirhead and Shirley Chisholm; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Victor, Todd Dugas, Tony Chisholm, Gerald Wayne Freeman, Todd Staffor and David Booth.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Joiner and Terry Chisholm.
