Bobbie Sue Smith
(September 21, 1932 - May 18, 2009)

Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie Sue Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Friendship Baptist Church, Fishville, with Reverend W. D. Carson officiating. Interment will be at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mrs. Smith, age 76, of Tioga, entered eternal rest on Monday, May 18, 2009, at Tioga Manor Nursing Home.

She was a retired retail secretary for over 30 years. She was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother forever. She was a long standing resident of Tioga and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Tioga.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Delton Smith; parents, John and Annie Starks.

She is survived by four sons, Paul Delton Smith of Atlanta, Louisiana, John David Smith of Pollock, Kenneth Lee Smith of Pollock, and Bradley Townsend of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Brenda Stringham and husband Alfred of Pittsburg, Texas, Debra Jackson of Alexandria; three sisters, Edith Lafargue of Shreveport, Mary Monk of Oden, Arkansas, Sylvia Downey of Pineville; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church.
