Bobby Caraway, of Irving for 52 years, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011. He was born March 25, 1926 in Newton, Mississippi. He was a US Army veteran and worked for Sunbeam Baking Co./Orowheat as a production superintendent for 41 years and was a member of Oak View Baptist Church in Irving since 1998.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Gloria Sams and granddaughter Angela Cummins, and is survived by his wife Mildred Caraway; daughter Marsha Caraway, son Larry Caraway, Sr. and wife Cathy Zhao; grandsons Larry Caraway, Jr., and Adam Caraway; granddaughter Sarah Cummins; step-son Jim Walker and wife Dortha; step-granddaughters Leslie Walker, and Felicia Dillard and husband Dave; and step-great grandchildren Chloe, Ella, and Luke Dillard.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. in Dallas with Dr. Jim Gerlach officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
