B.F. ERSKINE

VICTORIA -- B.F. Erskine, 81, of Victoria passed away June 25, 2009. He was born June 13, 1928, in Jackson, Miss., to the late Andrew Frank and Norma Law Erskine. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was employed by the Victoria Independent School District as principal for Victoria High School for 26 years. B. F. was also active in the Lions Club, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army Board, and was a member of Life Pointe Fellowship.

Survivors include his wife of almost 48 years, Catherine Workman Erskine of Victoria; sons, Charles Patrick Erskine and his wife Jill of Victoria, and Robert Michael Erskine and his wife Nicole of Katy; grandchildren, Drew Erskine, Chris Erskine, Joy Erskine and Josh Erskine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, B.A. Erskine.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2009 at Senior Campus MHS Gym, the Rev. Les Cole officiating.
