Funeral services for Bobby “B.J.” Davis, 67, of Delhi, LA were held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Rayville with Bro. Robert Warren and Bro. Tommy Simpkins officiating. Interment was in the Oak Grove City Cemetery, Oak Grove, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Mr. Davis was born March 7, 1946, in Delhi, LA and passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, in Rayville, LA. B.J. was a Army Veteran serving in Vietnam and Korea. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and the Christian Motorcycle Association. He was known to many as Paw Paw B.J. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Wanda Rose Davis, Betty Joe Davis, Maudine Davis, Becky Davis; brother, Louis Ray Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Mary B. Davis of Delhi; children, Bobby Joe Davis, Jr. and wife, Lacy of Bentonville, AR, Missy Anthoney of Bentonville, AR, Lori Westberry and husband, Toney of Muldrow, OK; step daughters, Cindy McNease and husband, Jessie of Rayville, Laura Wiggins and husband, William of Rayville; mother of his children, Doris Scrudder; grandchildren, Erica Davis, Gunner Anthoney, Trinity Anthoney, Chance Tole, Makayla Davis, Kiley Davis, Adam Summer, Kayla Summers; great grandchild, Aubrey Davis; step grandchildren, NaNa, Bud, Kelsie, Tina; step great grandchildren, Ali, Raven, Cyntha, Amber; step great great grandchild, Lil Jay; brothers, James “Jr” Davis and wife, Mildred of Delhi, Earl “Bud” Davis of Jigger, LA Eddie Davis of Delhi; sister, Hope Elaine Davis of Rayville; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Tony Martinez, James Davis, Kevin Davis, Heath Myers, Steven Morgan, Wesley Swett, and David McVay.
Honorary pallbearers were the “CMA” Christian Motorcycle Association and Men of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
