Services for Bobby Joe Jeter will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at Horseshoe Drive United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Ross officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park under the direction of Hixson Brothers of Alexandria.
Mr. Jeter, 72, of Alexandria died Sunday, February 2, 2003 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Jeter served his country in Korea as a proud member of the U.S. Army. He retired from Henington Studios with more than 4 years service as a school photographer. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Alson Jeter.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mrs. Shirley McQueen Jeter of Alexandria, two sons, Gregory L. Jeter and wife Lila of Alexandria and Douglas A. Jeter of Alexandria, one daughter, Mona Jeter Leopard and husband Dirk of Alexandria, his mother, Mrs. Sylvia Branch Jeter of Winnfield, sister, Maurine Jeter Herlevic of Monroe and five grandchildren, Melissa Lacey Jeter, Lindsay Brooke Leopard, Abby Leigh Jeter, Courtney Paige Leopard, and Jordan Scott Leopard.
The Jeter family will receive friends and relatives today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria and Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home and from 12:3 p.m. until time of service at the church.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be O.L. Farr, Donald McQueen, Brad Farr, Jack Courtney, Jordan Leopard, Richard Herlevic, Marty Herlevic, and Roland Rogers.
Memorials may be made to Horseshoe Drive United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
