Funeral Services for Mr. Bobby Luther Branch, 74, of Calhoun, LA will be held
at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 9, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church, 1411
Glenwood Drive West Monroe, LA with Rev. Spiller Milton and Rev. Jack Phelps
officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA
under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Branch died at his home on Thursday February 5, 2004. He was the son of the
late Luther and Pearl Branch. Mr. Branch was a native of West Monroe. He
graduated from Louisiana Tech with a bachelor's degree in marketing and
management. After college, Mr. Branch was the import-export manager in the
Transportation Department of Riverwood International and was employed there for
41 years. He was a member and past president of the Monroe-West Monroe Traffic
Club, Delta Nu Alpha professional fraternity, he served on the Highland Park
Country Club Board of Directors, was a Dixie Youth Baseball coach, and was a
member of the Pine Hills Country Club. He was an avid golfer and life-long
member of the First United Methodist Church, West Monroe, where he sang bass in
the Chancel Choir and was also a member of the Ed Stinson Sunday School Class.
Mr. Branch is survived by his wife of 52 years, Montez Wilder Branch; his
children and spouses, Steven Branch and Marc Moore of Lake Charles, LA, Terri
and William “Tad” Kivett of LaPlace, LA, Sue Ellen and Steven Landauer of
Bettendorf, IA, Marcia and Rodger Bagwell of Lafayette, LA and four
grandchildren, Krystal, Lance, McKensey, Chelsea Bagwell all of Lafayette, LA.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Albritton Jr., Billy McClendon, Marvin Cook, Glen
Golson, Henry Camp and Johnny Hale.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Jordan,
Roy Edwards, C.M. Gilbert, Billy Watson, John M. Smith and J.C. McDougald.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Sunday, February 8, 2004 at
Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA and from 10:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M.
Monday at the church.
The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to caregiver Ashley
Lewis, Sally Thomason and Mary Wiggins of Patient's Choice Hospice.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the “Share Your Faith” debt
retirement fund of First United Methodist Church, West Monroe.
