August 16, 1932 - June 20, 2012

Funeral services for Bobby Ray Ewing, 79 of Sandy Lake, LA will be held at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11 AM with Rev. Joel Ford, Rev. Jimmy Masters and Rev. Frank Bass officiating. Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Bobby Ewing was born on August 16, 1932 in Jonesville, La and passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his Residence. He was a resident of Jonesville, a Welder and a member of Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church. Mr. Ewing served as a director on the Concordia Electric Board for 25 years,the LREA Board, Sandy Lake Water Board and the Cajun Electric Board. His love was playing and singing music, and was well known for Ewing Family Gospel Singing.

He was preceded in death by: Father-Asa Ewing; Mother-Ida Ewing; Wife-Frances Boothe Ewing; Son-Gary L. Ewing; Sister-Mildred Masters; Sister-Marie Carrico; Sister-Betty Jean Hale; Sister-Ethel Patten; Sister-Georgia “Tee Wee” Wascom; Brother-A.C. Ewing, Jr.; Brother-Rev. Tom Ed Ewing.

Survivors include: His Wife, Flonnie Brown Ewing of Sandy Lake, LA; Son-Derwin Ewing and his wife Delane Alger of Pineville, LA; Son-Michael Ewing and his wife Kay of Hattisburg, MS; Step-Daughter-Misti Michot and her husband Bryan of Jonesville, LA; Sister-Goldie Buie of Jonesville, LA; Sister-Yvonne Masters of Monroe, LA; Grandson-Deron Ewing; Grandson-Brenson Ewing; Step-Grandson-Hayden Michot; Granddaughter-Dr. Dana Mays; Granddaughter-Summer Tullier; Granddaughter-Mandy Smith; Granddaughter-Meredith Maloney; Granddaughter-Melody Ewing; Step-Granddaughter-Megan Walton; Step-Granddaughter-Caitlin Walton. He was also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his Nephews Honarary Pallbearers will be the Concordia Electric Board Members.

The family will receive friends at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church from 6 PM until on Thursday, June 21, 2012.
