Bobby Wroten
Funeral services for Bobby D. Wroten, 71, of Winnsboro will be 11 am Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church, Winnsboro, with Rev. Marion Collier and Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9 am until time of service at the church.
Mr. Wroten was born May 29, 1945 in Winnsboro to the union of Wendell Ainsworth Wroten and Essie Martha McCarty Wroten and passed from this life on December 25, 2016 at his residence in Winnsboro.
Mr. Wroten was a member of Temple Baptist Church for 22 years. He was a great husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Wroten and brother-in-law Roy Thomas.
Survivors include his wife 37 years Dianne Wroten of Winnsboro; daughter, Kelly D. Wroten of Monroe; son, Robbie Gwin and wife Tonya of Delhi; sister, Marilyn Thomas of Crowville; brother Sheron Wroten and wife Diane of Rayville; grandchildren: Josie, Presley, Madison, and Marlee; special cousin Joel Eldridge of Crowville; brother-in-laws Larry Casiday of Crowville and Lynn Casiday and wife Kay of Crowville; sisters-in-law Debbie Blake of Delhi; a host of nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Danny Ezell, Jamie Folds, Doyle Hammons, Larry Jackson, Ronnie Kelley and Dale LaBorde.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Brown, Jeb Guice, Butch McElwain, Jimmy Smith and members of the Mens Sunday School Class of Temple Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers any planned donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to Temple Baptist Church, Winnsboro.
