Rev. Bobby Wayne Rine
January 19, 1927 - January 16, 2011

Family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church in Idalou from 12 to 2 PM Tuesday, January 18, 2011 to celebrate the life of Rev. Bobby Wayne Rine, 83, of Idalou. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the same church with Rev. Calvin Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Idalou Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.Rev. Bobby Rine passed on Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Lubbock.

He was born in Quanah, Texas on January 19, 1927 to the late Guy D. and Leola Jane (McCain) Rine. He married Wanda Lee Cooper on December 19, 1948 in Eldorado, OK. Bobby received his Bachelors degree from Wayland Baptist University along with Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Seminary. He served in the US Army from 1945 to 1947 during WWII, was a member of the Idalou First Baptist Church, and he pastored for 63 years, at 23 different churches in Texas and New Mexico. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and golfing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donnie Ray Rine.

Survivors include wife of 62 years, Wanda Rine of Idalou, a son and his wife, David and Julie Rine of Mansfield, and two daughters, Wana and Johnny Hunt of Lubbock and Kathy Barton of Gunter, two brothers and their wives, Jackie and Doris Rine, James and Vera Rine both of Quanah, sister, Joyce Mitchell of Crowell, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Family wishes all memorials to be given to Vista Care Hospice of Lubbock, 1717 Norfolk Avenue, Lubbock , TX 79416.
