Mrs. Bobbye Ophelia (Crain) Smith
March 24, 1936 - May 4, 2011

Services celebrating the life of Bobbye Crain Smith, 75, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Officiating the services will be Pastor Cecil Marr of Pinecroft Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born on March 24, 1936 in Pelican, LA and passed away on May 4, 2011 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Bobbye was a very strong woman who dedicated her life to her family and children. She was an avid fan of baseball and her favorite team was the Atlanta Braves.

Preceding Mrs. Smith in death were her husband of 50 years, Walter Harold Smith; her parents; one brother, Bill Crain and one granddaughter, Charlsey Meyers.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Bobbye are her children, Cheryl Crumpton and husband Gary of Shreveport, LA, Susie Smith of Shreveport, LA, Teri Jackson and husband Richey of Haughton, LA, Cece Smith and fiance' Scott Quigley of Bossier City, LA and Robert Smith and wife Tanya of Shreveport, LA; one sister, Jean Bridwell and husband Murray; one brother, Jerry Crain and wife Pat; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Honoring Mrs. Smith as pallbearers will be: Greg Still, Dusty Crews, J.R. Smith, Anthony Smith-McClure, Darek Jackson and Kris Horton.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Le, Dr. Bryn and the nursing staff at Life Care as well as Garden Park for all the care they gave our mom.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas-75231, The Arthritis Foundation, 1330 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA-30309 or the charity of donor's choice.
