JOHNSON, BONNIE BELLE CRUM
Bonnie Belle Crum Johnson was born Oct. 5, 1914, in Wilkinson County, Miss., to Dan S. Crum and Azilee Nettles Crum. She moved with her parents to Baton Rouge in 1920. She died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at Lakewood Quarters Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, until religious service at 3 p.m., conducted by Dr. George Haile and Dr. Carey Froelich. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Survived by a daughter, Linda Gail Johnson Davidson; a son, William Frank Tweedy Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Sue St. Amant Tweedy; two brothers, Boyd De Lee Crum and Elliott Riche Crum and their families; six grandchildren, John Carl Davidson and wife Diane, Alexandria, Michael Hugh Davidson and wife Rhonda, Clinton, Robert Glen Davidson and wife Jenny, St. Francisville, William Paul Tweedy and wife Rexie, Jena, Rhonda Lynn Tweedy Swiger and husband David, San Antonio, and William Clyde Tweedy, Baton Rouge; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Azilee Nettles Crum; a brother, Earl Lovell Crum; a sister, Ruth Crum Kelly; a son-in-law, Zollie ``Bud'' Davidson; her first husband, William Frank Tweedy Sr.; and her second husband, Norman M. Johnson. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
She was a longtime active member of Zoar Baptist Church until she moved to a retirement home and became a member of University Baptist Church. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Lakewood Quarters Nursing Home, St. Joseph Hospice and many friends who have shown care and concern.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, or Together We Pay Fund, University Baptist Church.
