JONESVILLE, La. -- Services for Bonnie May Strange Gordon, 74, of Jonesville, who died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, in Jonesville, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Pentecostal Church in Jonesville with the Revs. Jack Knapp and Bruce Lofton officiating.
Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Whitehall under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. today until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Gordon was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Jonesville, the daughter of Clarence and Lee Strange. She was a homemaker and a member of First Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank, Cecil and Dale Strange; and two grandsons, Rodney Kent Gordon and Daniel David Gordon.
Survivors include her husband, Jessie B. ``Jack'' Gordon; three sons and their wives, Jessie L. and Katie Ruth Gordon of Harrisonburg, Kelly and Mary Gordon of Tulsa, Okla., and the Rev. Rod and Lois Gordon of Jonesville; five daughters and their husbands, Mary and Johnny Humbles of Luther, Okla., Altha and Danny Sharp of Powell, Wyo., Janet and Wayne Sidebottom of Stugart, Ark., Iris and George Hardy of Jonesville, and Frieda and Pop Posey of Jonesville; two brothers, P.W. Strange of Jonesville and Joseph Strange of Woodworth; two sisters, Mattie Dey of Jonesville and Gladys Ferdna of North Carolina; 27 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
