Bradley G. Cusatis Jr.
Bradley Gene Cusatis, the son of Bradley Gene Cusatis, Sr., and Tracy Core, was born on May 22, 1990 in Hastings, Nebraska. He passed away on September 22, 2012 near Superior, Nebraska as a result of a train-vehicle accident at the age of 22 years, and 4 months.
Bradley grew up in the Superior area but transferred to Beatrice High School after his freshman year of high school where he graduated in 2008. He was currently a 5th year senior at Hastings College and was a “Bulldog” wrestler.
During his High School years, Bradley was a 4 time State Qualifier and 2 times State Medalist, and went to state in football while in Beatrice. During his college years he was 3 times National Qualifier with a possible national championship this year. He currently was ranked in the top 3 wrestlers in the Nation.
While growing up he worked for the custom-cutting operation Woerner Farms of Burr Oak, Kansas and continued throughout his college years. Bradley was a comedian and jokester to everybody who knew him and was loved by everyone. He had a passion for wrestling and was a mentor to young wrestlers. His family and friends were very important to him and he lived each day to its fullest.
Bradley was preceded in death by his parents, Bradley Gene Cusatis, Sr. and Tracy Core; grandfather Robert E. Core.
He will be dearly missed by his grandmother Theresa “Terri” Core of Superior, Nebraska; girlfriend McKenzie Boston and their unborn baby boy of Hastings, Nebraska; siblings Tessa McMains and husband Nate of Burr Oak, Kansas, Adriana, Dakota and Levi Cusatis all of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kayla Cusatis of Hastings, Nebraska and Winnie Cusatis-Pearson of Germantown, Wisconsin; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 10:00 am from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska, with Richard Cox officiating.
Music was “Don't Blink” by Kenny Chesney, “Sissy's Song” by Alan Jackson, and “Running Low On Angels” by Pete Gile.
Visitation was held on September 27, 2012 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Pallbearers were Drew Barry, Thomas Rogers, Justin Ferguson, Nick Howell, Jameon Rush, Taylor Boyce, Nick Sims and Drew Hare. Honorary Pallbearers were Hastings College Wrestling Team, Larry Woerner, Arnold Woerner, Scott Weins, Andrew Weins and Jared Weins.
Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
Memorials are suggested in care of the family for expenses.
