Brian Lynn Winfrey
Brian Lynn Winfrey, age 50, of Montrose, Colorado, formerly of Bernice LA, passed away December 19, 2011 from a tragic accident. Brian was born to Willis "Trooper" Winfrey and Doris Evans Winfrey on January 10, 1961 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from Bernice High School in May, 1979. He worked in the construction field in Louisiana before moving to California. In 1993, Brian settled in Colorado, continuing to work in the construction field. Brian was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and rock hounding, where he acquired a great collection of arrowheads while living on the Western Slope of Colorado. Brian loved spending time with his daughter, Sierra, and teaching her to fish and love the outdoors as well. They both shared a love of all animals; one in particular was Brian's dog, Mac, who was a longtime companion, and accompanied him on all his endeavors. Brian is remembered by his community as a man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a true friend and neighbor, and the one who reminded people to enjoy life.
