Welch Rites Are Scheduled

WINNSBORO -- Funeral services for Brownie Welch, 75, of Winnsboro, who died this morning in Franklin Parish Hospital after a long illness will be held 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home here. The Rev. J. D. Thornhill will officiate. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery, Winnsboro, under direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Welch was a retired farmer and a member of Bayou Macon Baptist Church.

Survivors are four sons, Noah B. Welch, Milam, N. M.; Dennis Welch, Truman Welch and Billy Welch, all of Winnsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Morrison, Monroe; Mrs. Alice Temple, Winnsboro; one sister, Mrs. Betham Oglesby, Winnsboro; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
