Rites Pending For Pfc. Budrow Bass

JONESVILLE (Special) -- Last rites for Pfc. Budrow Bass Jr., Jonesville, killed March 2 [sic 1] near Chu Chi in Vietnam, are still incomplete pending arrival of the body.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Budrow Bass Sr., Jonesville, Pvt. Bass was a member of the ninth infantry division and had only served on active duty in Vietnam six weeks.

He graduated from Block High School at Jonesville and was a member of Lake Lilly Baptist Church.

Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Faye Ellard Bass; three brothers, M. Sgt. Charles Bass of Castle Air Force Bass, Calif., who will escort the body home, Dale and Mark Bass, both of Jonesville; five sisters, Mrs. Bill Stone, Baton Rouge, Mrs. J. W. Calhoun, Monterey, Mrs. Buddy Netherland and Misses Dimple and Shelia Bass, all of Jonesville; and an aunt, Mrs. D. T. Cascio, Monroe.
