Services for Buel L. West, 81, of Columbia were at 10 a.m. Monday at Riser and Son Funeral Home chapel with Dr. W. M. Causey Sr. and the Rev. George Womack officiating.
Burial was in Old Union Cemetery west of Columbia.
Mr. West died Saturday in Columbia Heights Nursing Home, Columbia; after a long illness.
Mr. West was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mollie East West of Columbia; two sons, Travis West of Longview, Texas, and Charles West of Rayville; a daughter, Miss Maxine West of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; and five great-grand children.
Pallbearers were Homer Meredith, Cliff Murphy, Jack Smoot, Bowen Thomas, David Varnell and James West.
