BURDETTE HOOVER

Services will be held Fri., Aug. 16, 1991, 10 a.m., for Burdette William Hoover at Fusselman Wymore Funeral Home in Louisville with the Rev. Eugene Beye officiating. Donna Albert will be organist. Musical selections will include ``How Great Thou Art'' and ``In the Garden''. Pallbearers will be Ray Rohrs, Lloyd Braack, Omar Persinger, Clarence Stohlmann, Elvin Shryock and Andy Jackson. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m., Thurs., Aug. 15.

Hoover was born Dec. 1, 1917 in Louisville to William M. and Daisy Mae Sherwood Hoover. He married Doris Leesley on Oct. 18, 1944, in Hiawatha, Kan. The couple lived in Louisville until 1950 when they moved to Rapid City, S.D., then returned to Louisville in 1960. Hoover was an auto body mechanic and worked in the Chevrolet garage at Luken Chevrolet, Berner Chevrolet and Copple Chevrolet until retiring. He served in the U.S. Army from July 1941 to September 1945 during WWII. He died at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lincoln on Tues., Aug. 13.

Hoover is survived by a daughter, Vicki Hoover of Louisville, and three sons, Keith and wife Debbie Hoover of Houston, Texas, Gary and wife Joann Hoover of Lincoln and Bill Hoover of Louisville; three grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Colerick of Louisville; and a brother, Darwyn Hoover of Lincoln. Preceding him in death are his wife; parents; two sisters, Phyllis Hoover and Madeline Zajic; and one brother, Milton Hoover.

Fusselman Wymore Funeral Home of Louisville had charge of arrangements.
