Burl Franklin Savell

Services for Burl Franklin Savell of Philadelphia were held Friday, July 11, 2008, at 2 p.m. from John E. Stephens Chapel. The Rev. Clifford Jinkerson and the Rev. Chris Vowell officiated. Burial was in Springhill Cemetery.

Mr. Savell, 70, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in Neshoba County General Hospital.

He served in the National Guard and was a self-employed contractor. Mr. Savell was a member of Fellowship Assembly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie Savell and Iva Johnson Savell; and sister, Patricia Guthrie.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Doris Eloise Savell of Philadelphia; daughters, Delana Waddell of Philadelphia, Amy Dunn of Laurel, Vickie Viator and Robin Savell, both of Texas; sons, Joe Clark of Union and Ricky Savell of Seminary; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Michael Gray, Calvin Johnson, Matthew Glass, Ray Pherris, Exo Moore IV and Ricky Carl Savell.
