Long Illness Is Fatal To Bush Riley, Sr., 70

Bush Riley, Sr., 70, of Rose Hill, Birmingham Route 11, died yesterday at his home after a long illness.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lillian Spruell Riley; a daughter, Mrs. Odell Sims, of Easonville; three sons, Knox Riley, Chattanooga; Henry Van Riley, Rose Hill, and Bush Riley, Jr., Johnson City, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. Ward Foreman, Springville; Mrs. Reuben Smith, San Bernadino, Calif., and Miss Frances Riley, Springville, and a brother, Frank Riley, Tuscaloosa.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Leeds First Baptist Church. The Rev. T. L. Collins and the Rev. J. C. Aders will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Kilgrow, of Pell City, in charge.

The body will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Leeds Baptist Church.

Active pallbearers will be Al Shook, Edwin Deloney, Once Foreman, Dr. Hugh Spruell, W. V. White and Fred Elliott.
