B. E. Evans, 86, Interred Monday At Salem Church
Funeral services for Byrd E. Evans, 86, of Lake, were held Monday, October 18, at 2:30 p.m. from the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Wilbur Walters and Rev. Odell Tebo officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Ott and Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Evans passed away in the S. E. Lackey Memorial Hospital on Sunday following an extended illness. He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
The survivors are three sons, Clay Evans and William Lee Evans, both of Lake, and Walter Curtis Evans of Clinton; one step son, O. L. Emmons of Lake; one sister, Mrs. W. C. Rush of Lake; ten grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
The pallbearers were Freeman Waltman, Phil Waltman, Larry Waltman, James Mangum, Mikie Mouton and Birdeen Emmons.
