C. L. Tarver

PIONEER (Special) -- Funeral services for C. L. Tarver, 51, of Pioneer, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. James Hayes and H. S. Whitten officiating.

Burial will be in Unity Community Cemetery under direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Delhi with Masonic rites at the graveside.

Mr. Tarver died of an apparent heart attack while working as a tankerman on a ship in Mississippi.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Helen Tarver of Pioneer; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Boyte of Dubach and Miss Martha Tarver of Pioneer; one brother, T. I. Tarver of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Cidman [sic Sidnah] Savage of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Mrs. Willie Robert of South Hadley Falls, Mass.; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Thomas D. Ratcliff, William L. Ratcliff, T. C. McGuffie Jr., Jack D. Ratcliff [sic McGuffie], James B. Ratcliff [sic James H. McGuffie], Robert E. Ratcliff [sic McGuffie], Jarvis McWilliam [sic McMillan] and Roger Tucker.
