FERRIDAY -- Services for C.W. Watson will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Comer with the Rev. Mark Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Sicily Island.
Watson, 89, of Sicily Island died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Alexandria.
He was a lifelong resident of Catahoula Parish and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 4 in Natchez.
Survivors include three sons, Harold Watson of Sicily Island, Barney Watson of Vidalia and Johnny Watson of Ferriday; four daughters, Marie Wiley of Vidalia, Annie Goodine of Ruston, Alice Williams of Austin, Texas, and Glenda Wilfert of Ferriday; two brothers, Gus Watson of Sicily Island and Harold Watson of Jena; one sister, Doris Knight of Slaughter; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gus Watson Jr., Robert Watson, Sammy Wiley, Dempsey Wiley, Mary WIley and Ralph Nolan Sr.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
