Camillus Watkins “Cam” Flacy

A resident of Prairieville, he died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at his home. He was 73.

Cam passed away after a six-year battle with leukemia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. As an electrical engineer, he enjoyed a long career with Barnard and Burk Consulting Engineers and RPM Engineering.

After cremation, there will be a private memorial.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Patricia Farrow Flacy; and three daughters, Catherine Lorea Flacy Carraway, her husband, Roger, children, Brandon Earl Carraway, Kayla Marie Carraway Cleveland, husband Dustin, and the Flacy's first great-grandchild, Reese Nola Cleveland, three weeks old, and Lucas Dwane Carraway; Elizabeth Camille Flacy Hardison, husband Billy, and son Charles Everett "Rett" Hardison; and Theresa Ellen Flacy Vicknair, husband Brian, and children Cameron Joseph Vicknair and Samantha Mary Vicknair.

He was preceded in death by his beloved aunt who raised him, Mary Lorea Flacy.

The family wishes to especially thank Dr. Christopher McCanless, the nurses and aides of the Pennington Cancer Center at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet and the wonderful supportive staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge.
