Mrs. John E. Decell dies at residence

Mrs. John E. Decell, 81, died Friday at her residence, 1120 14th-pl. sw.

A native of Mississippi, she resided here about 20 years.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Annie C. Phillips, Birmingham, and Mrs. Eunice Stral, Bardonia, N. Y.; two sons, Earnest G. Decell, San Mateo, Calif., and William R. Decell, St. Louis, Mo.; a niece, Mrs. James G. Godwin; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Johns-Ridout's Church Chapel. The Rev. Robert Fletcher and the Rev. Ned Austin will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Capitola Decell's funeral rites held

Funeral services for Mrs. Capitola Decell, 81, of 1120 14th-pl., sw. who died Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Annie C. Phillips, were held today.

Services were held at Johns-Ridout's Church Chapel. The Rev. Robert Fletcher and the Rev. Ned Austin were the officiating ministers. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery.

A native of Shubuta, Miss., Mrs. Decell had made her home in Birmingham for the past 20 years. She was a graduate of the Institute for the Deaf at Jackson, Miss., and attended St. John's Episcopal Church for the Deaf here.

In addition to the daughter, she is survived by her husband, John E. Decell; another daughter, Mrs. Eunice Stral, Bardonia, N. Y., and two sons, Earnest G. Decell, San Mateo, Calif., and William R. Decell, St. Louis, Mo.
