Carl A. Williams

COLUMBIA -- Services for Carl A. Williams will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Riser & Son with the Revs. J.B. Bell and T.O. Arrington officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks.

Williams, 87, of Hebert died Thursday in Franklin Parish Medical Center, Winnsboro.

He was a lifelong resident of Hebert and a retired rancher and farmer. He was a Mason and was a member of the Blue Lodge. He was a charter member and deacon of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Edna McDonald Williams of Hebert; one daughter, Florice Williams of Hebert; one sister, Stella Howard of Columbia; one brother, Rudolph Williams of Hebert; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Isaac McClanahan, Randy Wygal, Perry McClanahan, Russell Girod, Billy Joe Poole and Rev. Jimmy Sheppard.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
