NATCHEZ -- Carl Cobb, 76, a retired employee of International Paper Co., died of heart failure Friday at Cliff Temple Baptist Church.

Services are 3 p.m. today at Cliff Temple Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon today at Laird Funeral Home and from 1-3 p.m. at Cliff Temple Baptist Church.

Mr. Cobb, a Franklin County native, was a member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church. He worked for International Paper Co. for 25 years. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include: wife, Jewel; stepdaughters, Marie Boyd of Natchez and Nell Murray of St. Francisville, La.; sisters, Thitus Cody of Summit and Lena Mae Brister of Ruth; brothers, Marvin Cobb of Natchez, Earvin Cobb of Bude, T.G. Cobb of Summit, Jim Cobb of East St. Louis Ill., and Ray Cobb of Dallas; and five step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
